Radhanath Swami emerged from his years of travel wanting to explain for others the beauty and rewards of a life devoted to God, and therein lay a dilemma. Radhanath Swami's many followers and friends describe him as completely selfless and consequently unwilling to take credit for his work and restless when a spotlight is focused on him. By choosing A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami (1896-1977), a Bengali Vaishnava Saint, as his guru (after declining offers of initiation from several tyagis or renunciants in the Himalayas), Radhanath Swami cast his fate to the wind, cut his matted locks, and entered back into the society.

In this age of Kaliyuga is an ocean of faults in other words there are so many distractions all process of yoga of self realization are very difficult to follow in this age of Kali because of the infinite distractions that are coming into our lives and these distractions are constantly dragging our minds in our attention away from the Lotus feet of Sri Krishna. We are speaking philosophy at this time, philosophy of Bhagavatam and Gita, and we find we are trying to speak and trying to hear philosophy there are so many distractions, because by the mercy of Sri Radha Rani I do not know Hindi, so I do not know this distraction is auspicious or inauspicious, sometimes not speaking Hindi me much amrita and nectar, some times not speaking hindi protects me from much disturbances especially if people introduce me, I don’t know whether Maha Prabhu is insulting me or praising me, In Bhagavad-gita it said that we should not be attached to praise or blame, honor or dishonor, so by Radha Rani’s grace I do not even know difference, but when Kirtan is going on does any one even notice that these disturbances were there, we completely forget the material world 3:39 in this age of Kaliyuga the recommended sacrifice is sankirtan, congregational chanting of the holy name, because the devotees come together and congregationally chant together it unifies the spirit of love and devotion to glorify the name of God people deeply forget all the distractions and troubles in this age of Kaliyuga but as soon as kirtan stops everything else begin, so the great Acharyas whomever coming in the great line of Sri Gaurnaga Maha Prabhu they are teaching this simple process, our beloved Gurudev Om Vishupad Prama hamsa Sripad Paramahamsa Sri Sri Sriman Bhakti Vedanta swami prabhupada.
He writes in his one of the purports that the focus of preaching Krishna Consciousness is not defeat by the argument the duty of all the preachers of lord Gauranga Mahaprabhu’s sampradhaya only have one object and is to induce people to sincerely chant the holy name of Krishna - Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare. The last sloka of Bhagavatam the conclusion of all the Vedavyas Maharaj, Vedavyas great literatures that the in the age of Kaliyuga it is only sankirtan the congregational chanting of the holy name that will purify from one of all the sins but the great acharyas their great contribution to this world it is not only to broadcast the glories and necessity of chanting of God’s name but to properly chant the God’s name Gauranga Maha Prabhu had taught 06:46 “Trinadapi Sunichena ..” one must be more humble than a blade of a grass more tolerant than tree one should be ready to offer all respects to others but one should expect no respect for oneself only in this consciousness can one chant the holy name constantly, so people do not understand what it really means to be humble. In the Bhagavad-Gita when Arjuna wanted to be very meek and go to the forest and neglect his duties he thought it is humble it is born out of false pride really humility is submissively obey me and fight this war, so tady is very very auspicious day.
It is an appreance day of our param guru Om Vishupad Prama hamsa Sripad Paramahamsa Sri Sriman Bhakti Siddanta Sarawathi Takhur and how wonderfully and beautifully he exhibited his lifes and teachings the spirit of great humility.
Sril Bhakti Siddanta Sarawasthi Takhur is born in the holy place of pilgrimage of Purushottama Kshetra Sri Jaganath Puri Dham he was born of the illustrious Acharya Srila Bhakti Vinoda Takhur, he was the fourth of ten children of Sri Bhakt Vinod Takhur and it is described that the Bhakti Vindo Takhur in the mood of Sri Advaita Acharya 10:00 he prayed 10:02 in compassion to the fallen souls of this age that Lord Sri Krishna will send one of his own personal associates to preach the glories of the holy name and the true message of Sri Caitanya lila.
When the child was born only six months after the Ratha Yatra of Sri Jaganath Dev was cmoning down from the main street from Jaganath mandir to Gundicha Mandir and on the way Takhur Bhakti Vinod home. The Cart stopped and it remained for three days, Jaganath would not allow the cart to be moved and during that time Bhagavati Devi, the wife Takhur Bhakti Vinod took 11:13 child his name is Vimala Prasad and offered him to the lotus feet of Jaganath, at that time the little baby reached out its tiny arms and touched the feet of Jaganath to place the dust on his head and just when that happened the beautiful of all the garlands decorating Jaganath body fell off and fell around the child , when Srila Bhakti Vinod the Takhur heard of this news, he could understand that Lord Sri Krishna has fulfilled his prayer, this morning in the class we discussed in summary of the life of Srila Bhakti Siddantha Saraswathi, this evening I would like to speak deeply on some of the well known teachings coming the phrases of Bhakti Siddantha.
Bhakti SIddanhtha Saraswathi Takhur is use to tell his disciples we are not meant to enjoy Krishna, we are meant to be enjoyed by Krishna “13:37Yasad “and the topmost way of pleasing Krishna by giving Krishna enjoyment is satisfy his devotees through services.
He use to say “do not try to see God, but try to serve God in such a way that He will come to see you”.
Our tendency in spiritual life is we want to enjoy the fruits of our own spiritual advancement, Krishna explains in Bhagavd-Gita Paramvritha nivarthathe that one can give up the wordly pleasures by experiencing the higher taste of love of God, but Srila Bhakti Siddantha Saraswathi explained as long as we are apt15:09 to the higher taste WE we will never experience, the higher taste is willingness to sacrifice for the pleasure of Krishna, when Krishna had a headache, the gopis were willing to suffer in hell eternally, if it would give pleasure to Krishna by giving the dust from there feet to His head.
Some times we are attached to the ecstasy of Krishna Consciousness Rupa Goswami explains that this is an impediment to the service and a devotee’s desire is to simply service.
In Bhakti Rasamritha Sindhu there is story Rupa Goswami tells one of the servants of the Braja Dham of Sri Krishna he was fanning Krishna with a peacock fan and upon the seeing the beauty of Sri Krishna his body and his mind were feeling such ecstasy that tears would flow from his eyes but because of those tears he could not properly see Krishna to fan Him nicely, so he is began to curse his ecstatic symptoms because it was interfering with how he can please Krishna and Takhur Bhakti Vinod use to pray that the inconveniences, suffering and the problems that I have to face in my life in the service of Krishna that is my greatest pleasure because my pleasure is in simply by serving the lord. I remember one time Sril Prabhupada when he was first built his temple in Ramn Rethi in Vrindhavan, one of the Sanyasis was helping to over see the construction and he was constantly worrying about being cheated so he was in terrible anxiety and he use to see nice all Babajis just walking around chanting Jay Sri Radhe, so he was thinking I have taken to the renounced order of life to argue with all these business people about the construction cost, he approached Gurudev and said I want to just chant Jay Sri Radhe and Prabhupad said your chanting of Jay Sri Radhe will have no meaning to Radha Rani unless you chant in the mood of surrender and your surrender is to built this temple, he told him do not try to enjoy Vrindhavan, but try to serve Vrindhavan in such a way that vrindavan will enjoy you, those who go to take they become a 20:00 but those who come to give they become like a crown jewel to the Lord in His dham, so this was the spirit of Bhakti Siddantha Saraswathi “do not try to see God, but act in such a way that God sees you”and Bhakti Siddantha Saraswathi Tahkur although he was a Guru and he had tens and thousands of disciples he was so powerful in his preaching so powerful in his personal conviction in his purity that people from all walks of life under the shelter of his lotus feet and worshipped him with great love. When they would bow down and offer pranams to him with a very very humble heart and folded palms he would always say to each devotee Dasosmi I am your servant.
He use to one year during his Vyasa puja thousands of people would gather to chant his name, to chant his glories to offer him garlands and flowers and gifts, he was sitting on a beautiful elevated seat and when it came time for him to speak he explained that do you know what it feels like for a wretched useless sinful dog to be on this seat. You are all my prabhus you are all my masters why because Bhagavan Sri Krishna Sri Radha Rani and my Guru Dev they have sent all of you, you are my Guru personal representative who have come to engage me in His service and my service is to train you and to teach you how to love God he use to say that one who takes position of guru and thinks he is Guru ‘u’ the first ‘u’ is taken away and he becomes Gru which means a cow a Guru never feels himself master a real guru feels himself lowest most menial servant of all his disciples and of all the world, Bhakti Siddantha Saraswathi Tahkur use to say that all of my disciples and all those people that come to see me I see that they are personally being sent by Krishna, therefore they are the representatives of my master “ Dasosmi” I am your servant, he also taught, how disciples should approach the spiritual master, the spiritual is not concerned with any material benefits he use to tell his disciples that we should not flatter people simply to get some monetary gain, we should have faith that if we speak the plain simple truth Krishna will roved everything, our goal is to simply please Krishna.
One time in a lecture Srila Prabhupada was then Abhay Charan Aravinda was sitting and hearing a lecture from his Gruru dev and that time very established and wealthy disciple started whispering something in our Guru Maharaja’s ear, Bhakti Siddantah was speaking at that time and looked at him and became very angry and looked at his rich man do you think your One hundred and fifty rupee donation will purchase your Guru and he looked at my Guru dev Prabhupad and he said if you do not want to hear me then you please come up on this lecture stand and you give me the talk, and Guru Maharaj explained he was modified, he was paralyzed, to hear his guru chastising like this and then he realized how every word is so precious it will open our ears, open our hearts to drink every drop.
Sometimes when the disciples would preach one time, they organized a big program and invited so many people and no one came, so they kirtan amongst themselves and they gave talk amongst themselves but they were very much distressed and when they came back and reported to Bhkati Siddantha Saraswathi Tahkur, he was very happy we should attached to how many people hear you, he said if no body comes you preach to the four walls, we are preaching simply for the pleasure of Krishna, we are not attached to the fruits we are not attached to the results we are only attached to the service, Bhakthi Siddantha Saraswathi says one moon is better than many stars better preach to one person who sincerely wants to surrender to Krishna than millions of people who simply want to enjoy hearing Srila Bhakti Siddantha Sarswathi use to call this world the world of the cheaters and cheated.
He use to use the example very frequently of how sometimes young ladies go to holy places thinking that if a sadhu impregnates me then it is very auspicious off spring they go there especially to make the sadhus fall down under vows in the mood of serving a sadhu so sweetly, there service is simply cheating, then he explained that the lowest grade dacoits they know that they come and do this so they disguise themselves as sadhus, they accept the service from these beautiful young girls enjoy them and give them dacoit seed , he said this is an example of how this world is of cheaters and cheated and we find in this world, there is really no loving trust for any one who is attached to sense enjoyment at the slightest provocation friends become enemies when they are too attached to money and sense enjoyment nothing is sacred any more in our lives even in spiritual circles when money and sense gratification, sense gratification is grossly 32:21sorrow, gross means the pleasure of the senses and sorrow32:22 means prestige when these elements come between any two people even in religious institutions they become conflict and people become enemies loving trust can only take place when Krishna is in the center, if anything else is between us we are potentially worst enemies therefore we have seen this world how sad that even a father and a son become better enemies when the question of family prestige or the money has its take even brothers and sisters they fight like cats and dogs they become enemies when money, prestige or sense gratification comes between them they willing to destroy each other, even best of friends become worst than enemies why because where ever there is too much attachment to wealth, to women, to prestige we are in the world of cheaters and the cheated, we are in the world of cheaters and the cheated and know34:38 this example all the wars of this nation they are not based on religious principles they are based on greed, all the crime in this world is based on greed every one is anxious to cheat one another no one can trust one another every one is suspicious even if they loves ones therefore to have these things is a curse so we attached to them for any other purpose than the pleasure of Krishna . what ever we have we are only attached to the service of Krishna then we are liberated from this world of cheaters and cheated Bhakti Siddantha Saraswathi Takhur use to say this world is no place for a gentlemen and one time in news paper it was asked Bhakti Vedanta swami prabhupad what is the way we can understand who is your devotee, you can understand who is my devotee because he is gentlemen so we put these two together we can understand this place is not good for a devotee because it is the world of the place of cheaters and cheated and a devotee is concerned with only one thing establishing love and trust their love and trust is like the oil that lubricates various components of the machine of the material society 37:14 engine the machines are like the components of the machine the engine are constantly rubbing on each other and creating friction and ultimately that friction destroys both parts but if there is oil they work together very smoothly, very sweetly to fulfill our very wonderful purpose love and trust is the lubrication that oil but when there is no love and trust your Krishna is not the centre they are simply cheaters and the cheated therefore Sril Bhakti Siddantha Saraswathi Takhur would explain that this is the final instruction he gave before he left this world following the foot steps of Rupa and Raghunath he always aspire for one thing the service of the Supreme Lord and the service of His devotees.
Most beautiful 39:08 is know how to be more humble than a blade of grass, this is his most frequent teaching it is the most difficult thing in all of the creation but it is the only that pleases Krishna Srila Sanathana Goswami is considered in Gauranga Maha Prabhu’s leela is the personification of humility because he at one time in his life he was a servant of the sinful and materialistic person he considered himself so wretched and sinful that he would not even enter Jaganath temple thinking that he was too much contaminated. When he would present himself before Lord Caitanya the humility of his heart was so genuine and honest that Maha Prabhu would cry and embrace him that your humility is brealing my heart it is only such humility that can purchase Krishna nothing else.
Some times devotees aspire for something other than the humble service of the vaishnavas they have missed the whole point the whole purpose of practicing the path of Bhakti to please Krishna what ever we do without that spirit of humble service to the lords devotees nothing really pleases Krishna, however wonderfully we do things in the eyes of God or in the eyes of man, therefore he stressed this very much at one time Bhakti Siddantha saraswathi he made eighteen sanyasis at one time these sanyasis they are demanding very much service from Grihastas and Bramhacharis then they would become very upset when they were not served nicely, I remember reading a letter that Bhakti Siddantha Saraswathi sent to all of his matts he opened 64 matts through out the India and he said what is the purpose of a sanyasi, sanyasi means one who is renounced. In a vow things to renounce, renouncing wife, renouncing children, renouncing money, renouncing comfortable place to stay that is not very difficult, real renounce means to renounce the desire of the prestige 43:40 to 43:42 rather than purifying ourselves with humble service of Guru and vaishnavas, we purify ourselves by menial service, we purify ourselves by being the servant of the servant and chant the holy name in that spirit , then Sri Sri Radha and Krishna 44:46 Bhakti Siddantha Saraswathi was very much against Mundane Scholarships 45:00 only by rendering service to Guru and vaishnavas then Krishna will enterance to the real sweetness of 45:23 he also said philosophy without religion is speculation and religion without philosophy is sentimentalism 46:01 to 46:12 it like 46:14 materially outside of the body it is speculation but at the same time engaging in the activities of religion without philosophical understanding why ..Sentimentalism or a fanaticism, some times prabhupada was explained Bhakti Siddantha Saraswathi was very much against hypo.. Sentimentally try to become advanced without understanding basic principle of the philosophy they like to try and they try to behave like very advanced devotees but all these tears and so called actions are of devotion are on sentimental platform and also such devotion creates sectarianism and fanaticism in fact mayavadhis 47:26 my guru is only guru, my sampradhaya is only sampradhaya rather than love in our hearts, envy builds in our hearts therefore religion without philosophy is also not 47:53 therefore Bhakti Siddantha Saraswathi Thakur is the most exalted and powerful of all the philosophers 48:04 is chant the holy names of the lord in the spirit of the humble servant of the servant of the lord, this world is full of problems, in fact in the first meeting of our Guru Maharaj with Bhakti Siddantha Sarwasthi Takhur is in 1922 at that time there is no beautiful temples for the Gaudya Matt in one centre 48:59 it is just a rented house Bhakti Siddantha was living in Mayapur Dham chanting the holy names and some of the disciples convinced what ever preaches to the masses the message is so important so they went into the small little huts in Calcutta, every evening they reading Caitanya Charitamritha sitting on the roads 49:58 in the year 1922 the Abhay Charan De later become His divine Grace Bhakti Siddantha Sarawasthi Thakur Prabhupada is convinced by his friend Nareandar Mallik to come and visit his great sadhu and then Abhay Charan he was not inclined to see sadhus, 50:33 what sadhus are really not sadhus they are trying to take rather than to give they like to eat chapathis they are not very much interested in giving love of God it is his experience, he saw so many chewing the tobaccos, smoking the beedis and having girl friends he was thinking that what do you mean by sadhus, then his friend said no no this sadhu is very great sadhu Bhakti Siddantha Sarwasthi Thakur you must come, to satisfy his friend alright I will come, so they ccame upon the terrus and he was sitting on his asana and abhay with great respect he prostrated Dandavat to offer his respects and as he was still on the ground Bhakti Siddantha Saraswathi Thakur planted the seed within his heart which would later blossom into the fruit of world wide preaching movement he had never seen this young man 52:20 in his life, before this young man get up from offering his pranams he gave his life long mission he said you are very intelligent young man he was only in the 20s he said you should take this message of lord chaitanya in the English language and deliver through out the world, abhay is very shocked who is this man giving this mission I don’t even know who he is at that Abhay was follower of Gandhi so he said I do understand this religion is a great luxury the real need is independence as long as we are just slaves in the capt of slaves of the British empire we have no dignity in our country who is going to listen to our message and Silra Bhakti Siddantha Saraswathi in modern words connection with the words of Prabhuda he said politics and everything else in this world is always changing and as long as people are cheating one another the it always changes there is no solution for the problem, there is only one problem in all of the creation and that problem is lack of Krishna Consciousness, the only problem in all the universe is forgetful of Krishna and all other problems are born in that and that alone and solution to this problem is always remember Krishna how to always remember Krishna message to chant the holy name and to associate with the devotee, therefore in the humble spirit more humble than a grass, more tolerant than a tree ready to offer all respects to others and expect nothing for oneself we should cultivate this consciousness is goal of our life and chant the holy name in that spirit, that and that only alone is the sum and substance of the teachings of the Srila Bhakti Siddantha Saraswathi Thakur, he use to pseak this very boldly, his heart is very gentle but some times his voice was very bold, a humble servant 56:05 anyway that is required to get the message of the 56:11 to the one he is serving, but anger and one who has unfulfilled lust that is a great impediment for spiritual life, bu when anger is utilized as a tool that penetrated false ego with the message of Godhead that is an act of humble service Bhakti Siddantha Saraswathi Thakur was always in this mood, so please always remember this is the one principle that Krishna is looking for everything we do humble service attitude to chant the holy name in that service attitude in all the disturbances of the material life, all the competition that is trying to 57:36 our mind away from Krishna, we will be above we will be transcendental, Thank you very much.
We actually disturbing them because we are, we are disturbing them more than they disturbing us why? Because we are trying to enjoy therefore we are interfering their enjoyment, they are very much disturbed, every where kirtan goes on, but we see that what ever they are saying, what ever the noise they are making is only reconfirming our philosophy and helping us to chanting the louder therefore we are not disturbed, we are very grateful, the more impediments that come our way the more close we come to Krishna we are in the right consciousness.. Saraswathi replied Prabhupad that chanting of the holy can solve all the problem, every problem people are working, going to job, family problem, several things you would just said political problem, economical problem, family problem everything can be solved bu just chanting the holy names is the solution given is quick and short very difficult to digest?
Understand really..unless we try it, we must understand that first is faith in the word of God, in the word of Sashtras, in the word of all living acharyas that Krishna is non different from his name, nama Chintamani 60:00:44 there is no difference Kali Kale nama rupe Krishna avatare, in this age of Kali Krishna has descended , He advented within His name, He revealed how Krishna killed Kesi, how Krishna killed putana, how Krishna devoured massive forest fire, all that power of Krishna is completely manifested within all of His name, the name of Krishna is all auspicious, all attractive, and all pure the name, the name of Krishna 60:01 the most inauspicious to the most auspicious, the most impure to most that is the power of the name, how the holy name can save even the most sinful people 60:01:58 [deena heena…] we cannot understand unless we understand through the Shastra, through the lips of the sadhus the nature of what is the name of Krishna, therefore simply by chanting the holy names sincerely the shastra explains, what was attained through sixty thousand years of meditation and tapsya in the age of satya yuga can be obtained simply by chanting the name of the lord once in a offence less impure state of mind, ajamil was relived of whole life of terrible 60:02 because he chanted the name of Narayan one time without offence, Sirla Prabhupad use to tell us “ If you simply have complete faith the name of God is non-different from God you are liberated Hari Nam Hari Nam eva Kvelam, Kalo nastiva nastiva Gathiranyata that in this age of Kali it is the only way, why do we speak all this philosophy, why do the great acharyas write so many books simply to establish that firm faith in our hearts of the nature of the Name and its power to convince us to never let go of the shelter of the Holy name, but this time ..

It is describes in Bhagavatam how should view four different categories of personalities in this world,
one approach is deity in the temple with the name of God, one must surrender oneself with great submission, when one approaches the Guru or a superior vaishanva one should approach with humility and a desire to serve to worship their feet by serving and hearing out their instruction.
Those who are on equal level the devotee should befriend them and encourage and be encouraged, give gifts, receive gifts , reveals one mind, hear another’s mind, in this way very intimately walk side by side in the path of bhakti,
Those who are fallen and degraded position that they are innocent and willing to hear a devotee should very compassionately reach down to lift that person up.
Those persons who are atheistic and antagonistic a devotee should avoid that association all together, sura means a devotee of God, asura means one who was not a devotee of God, there are two types of asuras innocent and the demoniac
The innocent they are fallen, they are sinful, they do not have faith but they wanted to hear, they are willing to accept the shelter of the mercy of Guru and Krishna, those who after hearing they blasphem, they condem, such person we should avoid because they are strong in their maya and we are strong in our Krishna.
